Full Time Store Manager (Multi-Locations)(Naugatuck, CT)

Drive-Up Storage is hiring a full-time manager to run the day-to-day operations of our self-storage facilities in Naugatuck and North Haven, Connecticut. You will work on site at the property — this is not a remote or hybrid job — and you should be able to get to both locations. Over time, and only if you want to, there is the option to rotate between more sites and take on broader responsibilities.

A typical day mixes sales, customer service, light office work and hands-on property care. You will show and lease storage units to walk-in and phone customers, explain current promotions, and follow up on leads. You will take payments, handle cash and check deposits, and drive to a nearby bank to make the daily deposit. You will call tenants with past-due balances, run unit audits, and manage the auction process for accounts that stay far overdue. You will watch property expenses against budget and keep an eye on what nearby competitors are charging and promoting. You are also responsible for how the property looks: sweeping, mopping, cleaning out vacated units and handling small maintenance tasks.

Schedule is set — day shifts, no late nights — and includes Saturday and/or Sunday shifts. Pay is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, with a bonus program, health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and an employee discount.

Success in the first six months looks like: occupancy and rental income growing at your site, deposits and delinquent accounts handled accurately and on time, expenses inside budget, and a clean, well-kept property customers are comfortable visiting.

What we need

• At least 2 years of retail, sales, leasing or operations experience, including management or assistant-manager responsibility
• Customer service and sales ability — comfortable showing units, quoting rates and closing rentals in person and by phone
• Comfortable handling cash and checks, making daily bank deposits, and tracking expenses against a budget
• Willing and able to do cleaning and light maintenance: sweeping, mopping, cleaning out units, minor upkeep
• Available for day shifts including Saturday and/or Sunday
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach both locations and the nearby bank
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to stand for several hours at a time and lift 25 lbs
